He was born November 3, 1908, at Fromburg, Montana. He moved with his parents to Banner County (NE) as a youth. He married Ruth Robinson at Minatare, NE on Nov. 29, 1934. They have resided in the valley area since. He served in the army in W.W.II. He was a member of the Church of God. He is survived by his wife. Two sons: Lyle in the service in Nave; and Jerry at home. Three brothers: Chester English of Woodburn, OR; Carroll Thompson of Gering, NE; and Norben of Vallejo, CA. Three sisters: Mrs. Ethel Edgar and Mrs. Esther McDonald of Gering, NE; and Mrs. Pauline Baker of Woodburn, OR. Services are pending and will be announced by Reads Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
