Esther Pieper died October 6, 1899. The headstone reads Aged 9 months, and the 
inscription reads "Suffer the little ones to come unto me". Esther was the 
infant daughtor of H. and L. Pieper. Her father was a minister at the Salem 
Evangelical Lutheran Church to which the land for this cemetery had been 
donated by August and Amelia Zilmer.
