ANSWERS CHASE (Mrs. H. N. Jackson, Beatrice, Neb. April 1928). Samuel5 Chase (Thomas4-3, Isaac2, Thomas1) was born May 26, 1734, probably at Homes Hole, Martha's Vineyard died Aug. 2, 1801 at Livermore, Me. He married Jedidah Mayhew of Chilmark, born March 3, 1733, died Feb. 23, 1807. Their children were Sarah, Thomas, Elizabeth, Samuel, Lothrop, Tristram, Sarson, Olive, Lydia, Paine, and Prudence. Thomas6 Chase, born Sept. 30, 1755, died at Livermore, Me. April 1844. During the War he served on a privateer and later under John Paul Jones. After his release he married Elizabeth Luce and lived at Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard and Livermore, Me. Olive6 Chase, born Aug. 12, 1766; married James Norton, Tisberry, Mass., Mar. 26, 1789 (not April 26, 1783). They removed to Livermore, Me., about 1787.
