Died, "We were pained to hear this morning of the death of Hon. Truman H. Adams. He died at his residence, in Otoe Precinct on Tuesday evening." 1861, Jan. 26. Married, "In Nebraska City, N. T., January 23d, 1861, by W. H. H. McArty, Esq., Mr. James W. Ward and Miss Sally M. Hamlin, both of Otoe County, N. T." 1861, Feb. 2. Married, "By Judge Francis Bell, on the 13th of January, 1861, at the Planter's House in Nebraska City, Mr. William H. Bryant and Miss Lucinda Shepherd." 1861, Feb. 9. Died, "Chief Justice Hall(b) of this Territory died at his residence at Bellevue on Saturday last. Judge Hall removed with his family from Iowa to this Territory about three years ago." 1861, Feb. 9. Died, "More than ordinary grief is experienced in the record of the death of Fountain Pearman, Esq.! He was an old settler here. - - - A wife and three children are left - - - ." 1861, Feb. 16. In 1857 he removed to Weeping Water in the same county. - A. T. Andreas, History of Nebraska, p. 513. (b) Augustus Hall, son of Samuel Hall, was born at Batavia, N. Y., in 1814. He married, 1853, at Batavia, N. Y., Jane B. Smith, b. Mar. 31, 1823. Hall Co., Nebr., was named in his honor. - Morton-Watkins, History of Nebraska, I, 348-349. (c) Julia A., wife of Theodore H. Died, "On Monday, March 25th, at 7:15 A. M., Henrietta, youngest daughter of Rev. Henry M. and S. Esther Giltner,(d) aged 10 months and 14 days." 1861, April 6. Died, "In this city, on the 14th inst., of consumption, Mr. Lucius Nesbit, aged 25 years." 1861, April 27. Married, "On the 22d inst., by Rev. H. M. Giltner, at the residence of John S. Darley, Mr. John F. Darley and Miss Barbara Lutted, all of this city." 1861, May 11. Married, "On the 1st ult., by James Fitchey, Esq., at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. James P. Howel of Rock Creek, Mr. Austin Humphery and Miss Sarah M. Howell, all of this county." 1861, June 8. Died, "The wife of Mr. Fowler, residing near Wyoming in this county, was struck by lightning on Tuesday morning and instantly killed. - - - her husband is absent at Pike's Peak." 1861, June 15. Died, "On Wednesday morning, June 12th, Harriet Redfield, wife of Dr. S. Redfield, aged 27 years." 1861, June 29. Died, "Intelligence has been received here of the death of Mr. Clark McGee, a young man well known to many of our citizens, who formerly resided about 18 miles west of this city. He died at California Gulch, C. T., about the 1st of May, of congestive fever." 1861, June 29. Died, "On the 26th inst., John W. Dorsey, aged seventy-six years. The deceased was born on the 5th of July, 1785, in Annearundle county, Md., from there to Indiana at an early day, - - - He removed to this Territory in 1857, Aurora (Ind.) commercial, please copy." 1861, June 29. Married, "On the 23rd inst., in the 1st Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. H. M. Giltner, Mr. Thomas E. [Tho] mpson(f) and Miss Ledasca F. Dimmick, all of this city." 1861, June 29. Died, "In Carlisle, 0., on the 7th inst., at the residence of her grandfather, after a long and painful illness, Camsadelle S., eldest daughter of 1. L. and M. A. Giltner, was born, Jan. 30, 1827, in Clark Co., Ind., and died, Apr. 7, 1903, at Aurora, Nebr. He married, May 21, 1855, at Hanover, Ind., Susan A. Gregg, who died in Logan Co., Nebr., Jan. 19, 1893. Six of their nine children grew to maturity. - Ibid, II, 555-556. (e) Joseph L. Webb, son of William and Mary Webb, born at Morristown, Burlington Co., N. J., Feb. 27, 1833. Came with his parents from Greene Co., 0., to Nebraska City, Nebr., in May 1857. Amanda White was born in Jeffersonville, Ind., Feb. 9, 1836. Her parents, George and Elizabeth (Nesmith) White were from New Hampshire. - Chapman, Portrait and Biographical Album of Cass and Otoe Counties, pp. 735-736. (f) Thomas E. Thompson, son of John and Jane (Richardson) Thompson, was born at Rumford, Oxford Co., Me., Apr. 1, 1833, and came to Nebraska City, Apr. 16, 1854. Ladasca Francena Dimmick, daughter of Samuel and Mary Dimmick was born in St. Lawrence Co., N. Died, "In Nebraska City, July 5th, Harry, infant son of Dr. S. and Harriet Redfield, aged one month and two days." 1861, Aug. 3. Died, "Two boys, sons of Hugh Colton, were drowned on the evening of the 18th inst., while bathing 13 miles south of Bellevue. They were aged respectively 16 and 18 years." Meutel, by Rev. H. M. Giltner, Mr. Augustus Gerhard and Miss Maria Getter, all of this city." 1861, Aug. 10. Married, "On the 8th inst., at the Pleasant Ridge Parsonage, by the Rev. H. M. Giltner, Wm. M. Line, M. D., to Miss Fannie Irwin, all of this city." 1861, Aug. 10. Married, "On the 8th inst., at the American House, in Nebraska City, by Judge F. Bell, Mr. George W. Shaw and Miss Harriet Haley, all of Fremont county, Iowa." 1861, Aug. 17. Married, "On the 14th inst., by the Rev. H. M. Giltner, Mr. H. H. Cornell and Miss Mary H. H., in 1833 and came to Nebraska City in 1857. Julia B. Kinney, daughter of John F. and Hannah H.
