Dakota County Herald Thur Jun 5, 1919 Pender Times: C. C. Frum, former county commissioner of Thurston county, died at a Sioux City hospital last week. He was a resident of Winnebago, and was one of Thurston county's most prominent citizens. He was a man of exceptional ability and a fighter--one of the kind that don't know when they are whipped. He was in many conflicting issues in the county which he served as a commissioner for four years. He was a very aggressive and naturally made enemies, but was always able to defend himself with ability.
