James W. Auld

James W. Auld, banker, was born in Marion County, Iowa, April 27, 1876, son of
Benjamin G. and Mary M. (Schmidt) Auld.

He was educated in the public schools of Iowa, and in 1893 came to Nebraska.
Five years later he established his residence at Red Cloud, and became
associated with the State Bank of Red Cloud, which was founded by his uncle, W.
T. Auld, in 1892.

On October 4, 1904, he was married to Jessica Cather, a native of Winchester,
Virginia, born August 26, 1881. She was a daughter of early pioneers in Webster
County. There are three children, Mary Virginia, William Thomas and Charles
Cather. Residence; Red Cloud.
