Larry E. Wirth, 61 of Grand Island, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at St. Francis 
Medical Center in Grand Island after a four-year battle with colon cancer.  

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church with the Rev. Harold Kurtenbach officiating, Rev. James 
Schmitt concelebrating.  Rosary to be recited Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 7 
p.m. at the church with family receiving friends  from  5-7 p.m. 

Inurnment of the ashes will be in the Overton Cemetery, Overton, at 3 p.m. 
Friday, July 29, 2011 with full military honors.  

Larry Wirth was born, March 20, 1950 in York, the son of Eugene and Norma 
(Menssen) Wirth. He graduated from Kearney High School in 1968. 

He was united in marriage to Peggy Jensen, Aug. 21, 1976 in Overton. 

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Wirth of Grand Island; one son, Damon Wirth 
of Bennet; one daughter, Kaitlyn (Erin) Bright of Lincoln; grandchildren, 
Henry and Julia Bright; brothers, Gary Wirth of Kearney, Bob Wirth of Garden 
City, Kan., Jerry (Leslie) Wirth  of Texas; sister, Jeanette Young of Cushing, 
Okla., and father in law, Gordon Jensen of Grand Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother in law, Dorothy Jensen and 
sister, Lynette Schutte
