The southeast end contains graves of GOUDY, BROWN, WOODMAN, and HANSON families; the northwest end contains graves of HAMM and PHILBROOK families. 1. In memory of JOHN GOUDY who died Feb 28 ..... There is also a footstone (marked "J.G.") behind this stone, which is broken. 2. Nearby, a stone broken off, and leaning against another, undoubtedly belongs in the "empty" space beside the above John Goudy's stone. ELIZABETH wife of John Goudy died July 12, 1832 AE 65 N.B. Elizabeth's maiden name was LEIGHTON 3. WILLIAM GOUDY died july 17, --- AE --- N.B. William, b. Feb 1875, d. 1 Jul 1884; son of above John and Elizabeth 4. THOMAS GOWDY died Jun 22, 1849 AE 42 yrs. N.B. Thomas Leighton Gowdy, b. 20 Nov 1807 in Wakefield, NH, son of Nathaniel (brother of above William) and Lydia Tasker Gowdy. 10. A double headstone: JOHN A. An honest man in the noblest work of God Maj. ALVAH PHILBROOK who fell at the head of his Regt at Franklin, Tenn. Nov 30, 1864 AE 34 ys. 7 ms. 9 ds. He never took a backward step.
