All rights reserved. ************************************************************************ Full copyright notice - http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm USGenWeb Archives - http://www.usgwarchives.net ************************************************************************ Surname: ADAMS Source: Walpole As It Was and As It Is by George Aldrich, The Claremont Manufacturing Co., Claremont, N.H., 1880, pages 185-186 ADAMS, MACEY, an old resident of this town, was born in Franklin, Mass., in 1777; and his wife, whose maiden name was Clarinda Ware, was born in the same town, and, soon after their marriage in 1800, they came to Walpole, where they spent their days. He was a butcher, and followed the business many years, in company with George Watkins. He is remembered as an honest, upright unassuming man and a good neighbor. He died Oct. 24, 1851; she survived him 19 years, and died July 8, 1870, aged 92 years, a woman greatly beloved by all who knew her. Ch. I. Albert, b. March 16, 1806; m. a Miss Wilder; she died and he married the 2d time. He died Oct. 13, 1853. II. Theron, b. Oct. 14, 1808; m. 1st. Sept. 6, 1836, Submit, dau. of William and Roxana (Burt) Blanchard, by whom he had one son, Theron, who died Aug. 1,1861, aged 21. She died Oct. 1, 1846, aged 31 years, and he subsequently married Louisa Stevens of Windsor, Vt., and died Jan. 13,1852. Mr. Adams was postmaster under the administration of James E.
