He d. Oct. 23, 1854; she d. May 7, 1861, aged 91. Mr. Fisher came to Walpole about 1800 and settled on the place now owned by his son Moses. He was an industrious, peaceable citizen of the town and was for several years deacon of Rev. Pliny Dickinson’s church. At one time he had a mill on the brook that ran past his house, where cotton yarn was manufactured, and his son David peddled it about the country. The mill was washed away by a freshet in 1826. Ch. I. David, b. in Franklin, Mass., Aug. 11, 1789; m. Mindwell Parks. He was a surveyor, miller, and farmer by occupation. He was one of the selectmen of the town for several years and represented it in the Legislature, in 1852. He was a staunch supporter of Universalism and lived a blameless life. He died Dec. 5, 1867, she d. Dec. 23, 1871, aged 72. Ch. 1st. Joseph, m. Adeline Whitney, lives in town, and has had four children. (See Ap. for ages.) 2d. Metcalf, d. young. 3d. Caroline, d. young 4th. Charles, m. Emma J., dau. of Oliver Martin. 5th. David, d. unm., at sea. II. Julia, b. July 1, 1791; m. Ira Emory. III. Nancy, b. Mar. 11, 1793; m. Abel Hill and lived and died in Cavendish, Vt.; she had thirteen children. IV. Isaac, b. May, 22,1796, m. Julia Ann Richardson of Westmoreland; d. Dec. 21, 1870; she d. Jan. 27,1870, aged 68. Ch. 1st. Judson, b. Nov. 13, 1824, m. Louisa Hanes. He is a Unitarian minister of ability and is now settled in Illinois and has two sons. 2d. Ellen, b. 1826; m. Rufus E. Smith of Alstead; and had two daughters. 3d. Andrew J., b. Aug. 25. 1830; m. Clarissa, dau. of the late Henry Mellish, and had seven children, only three of whom are now living. (See Ap.) V. Eunice, b. June 18, 1799; m. Enoch Gale, and removed to Ohio, and had three children. VI. Mary, b. July 6th, 1807, the first of the family born in Walpole; m. Orin Bunker, and had four children, none of whom are now living. VII. Moses, b. May 16, 1815, m. Dec. 22, 1842, dau. of Richard Starkweather, and has three children (See Ap.)
