MARCH, JOSHUA, the grandson of Joshua, and the oldest of ten children of John March, was born 
Feb. 12, 1762. The other children were Samuel, Sarah, Daniel, Abigail, Hannah, Elizabeth, Molly, 
Martha, George, and Susannah, all born between 1763 and 1794. Joshua married Judith, the daughter 
of Lieut. Aaron Hodskins, jr., born in 1799. He lived, it is said, in the Hollow, west of the residence of 
Esdras Smith, and was a shoemaker and miller, which is inferred from charges made in an old account 
book of his. The steep pitch in the highway west of the brook is called "March Hill," from his mill and 
residence being in the vicinity His children were
I. Rebecca Garrish, b. Sept. 14,1799, who is still living.
II. John Smith, b. Nov. 26, 1803; m. first, Serepta, dau. of Philip E. Bundy, July 25, 1830; m. 
second, Abigail Griggs. Ch. by first wife, 1st and 2d, d. in infancy. 3d, George B., b. Aug. 3, 
1836; m. Maria Minard, of St. Charles, Ill., in 1859. 4th, William, b. April 14, 1836; m. 
Frances E., dau. of Jared and Sophia (Bundy) Rickard, May 12, 1859; resides in town. 5th, 
Jane, b. April 7, 1838; m. Thomas R. Marston, and has four ch.; resides at Charlestown, N.H., 
in the hotel there. 6th, Mary, b. April 13, 1813; d. Oct. 23, 1866. 7th, Sarah Ann, b. Jan. 24, 
1845; m. Ai A. Jacobs, lives at Cedar Rapids, .Mich., and has one child. 8th, Abby, b. April 
28, 1849, unm.
III. Aaron Hodskins, b. July 22, 1806.
IV. Hannah Nelson, b. April 2, 18I5; lives in town, unm.
Joshua March d. June 11, 1841, aged 79. Judith, his wife, died Oct. 13, 1852, aged 77.
