BENJAMIN SPAULDING was an early settler in Jaffrey, where he held various town offices. In later
life he removed to Marlboro, N. H., where he kept a hotel. He went to Cambridge, "Lexington 
Alarm," April, 1775, and, 1780, commanded a company in Col. Moses Nichols's regiment which went 
to reinforce West Point, July-Oct. of that year.
