His wife, Olive Clark, was born June 25, 1785. They were married in Dec. 1810, when they moved directly to Walpole, and bought the farm now owned by Andrew Roy, of David Thompson. Here he lived twenty years and sold out to Luther D. Knowlton and purchased the farm now owned by Edwin Guild, of Albert Locke, where he lived till he died. He was an industrious, unobtrusive citizen and at the time of his death had accumulated a handsome property Ch. I. Esther, b. Oct. 10, 1811; m., first, Samuel C. Underwood of Westminster, Vt., Mar. 13, 1850. He d. Nov. 4, 1865 aged 47; she then m. Willard Witt, Dec.17, 1873, and resides in Westminster, without issue. II. Willard C., b. Jan. 29, 1815; d. Apr. 10, 1852, unm. III. Emeline, b. Oct. 31, 1818: m. Henry J. Watkins, Nov. 10, 1842, and had 3 ch.--2 living, (see Ap.) IV. Harriet, b. Dec. 24, 1821, d. July 13, 1865, unm. V. Eliza Ann, b. May 30, 1824, m. Eri Richardson, Jan.13, 1859. Luke Thurston died Jan. 1, 1862; his widow d. Apr. 3, 1875.
