Bio: Samuel Brown :Ashland, Grafton Co, New Hampshire From Gazetteer of Grafton County, NH 1709-1886 -Ashland Compiled & published by Hamilton Child 1886 Samuel Brown, a native of Bridgewater, married Susanna, daughter of Abraham and Rachel Dolloff. Horace, the second of his four sons, married Mary A., daughter of Jesse and Patience (Hobert) Fletcher; and had born to him three children, all now living. He was a native of Bridgewater, was first select man of that town for many years, and died there in 1874.
