Bio: Joseph Hoyt :Grafton, Grafton Co, New Hampshire From Gazetteer of Grafton County, NH 1709-1886 -Grafton Compiled & published by Hamilton Child 1886 Capt. Joseph Hoyt, the first settler of the town of Grafton, came from Massachusetts, in 1772, and settled upon the place now owned by John Russell, on road 28, where he remained until his death. His son Ebenezer, who represented the town for twenty four years, married twice, and had born to him five children. Ebenezer S., son of Ebenezer, married Lucretia R. Cawell. Nine of his eleven children are now living, one of whom, Thomas J., married Ellen F. Barney, and has four children, and Augustus F., who married Ann M.
