Surnames: GEARRY, GEARY, GERRY Transcribed by Stephen Tarry, , 1999-10-17. I have no connection to the Gerry family; I'm just a beginning genealogist who frequently visits Fox Forest, wishing to make a small contribution to the GenWeb cemetery project. Cemetery is a rectangle, about 60 ft. N-S by 40 ft. E-W, bounded by stone walls about 2.5 ft. high. It is in the middle of Fox State Forest, almost half a mile from the nearest dwelling. There are 10 marked graves, all from the 1800s. All of the gravestones appear to be white sandstone. Except as noted they are standing and quite legible. There are two rows: 7 gravesites (#1 to #7) in a row N to S along the E side of the cemetery, and 3 gravesites (#8 to #10) in a row W to E along the S side of the cemetery. The numbering is my own arbitrary invention. Directions: From Rt. 9/202 (the main street in Hillsboro) opposite the intersection with Rt. 149, go north on School St. (which becomes Center Rd.) for 2 miles. Just past the Fox State Forest headquarters, turn right on Concord End Rd., which is a narrow unpaved road. Go 0.5 mile; the cemetery is on the right.
