Robert Campbell, on the night of the 18th January ult. in the 85th year of his age, a native of Townsend, Mass.—a patriot of the revolution who, from the commencement of that struggle until his death was a firm and constant friend of his country and her institutions. He was a man of a social disposition and delighted in the intercourse and society of his fellow man. He had been a professor of Religion from early life, and adorned his profession by a conduct in conformity to the precepts of the gospel of Christ. He performed the duties of a faithful friend, of a good citizen, neighbour, husband, and father; and departed this life in the hope of a glorious immortality; and his memory is and long will be cherished by his relatives and acquaintance.—Com.
