H. in the Rebellion' by H. L. Robinson, published 1893 JOSEPH S. EVANS lived with his parents on the river road. He enlisted in Company F, Thirteenth regiment New Hampshire volunteers, and was mustered into service September 19, 1862. He was with his regiment until June 1, 1864, when he was severely Wounded before Petersburg, Virginia, and was discharged the following autumn. He is now living in Strafford.
