H. in the Rebellion' by H. L. Robinson, published 1893 Page 174 NATHANIEL WILLIAMS lived in that part of the town known as "Upper City." He was a tin peddler, and, like all of his occupation, was widely known and well liked. I have been able to learn but few facts concerning him. He married Miss Ann Barton and had several children when he enlisted in Company F, Twelfth New Hampshire volunteers, August 11, 1862. He served with that regiment until he was mustered out, July 10, 1865. He was captured at Fredericksburg,but how long he was held a prisoner I am unable to say. He is now living in Manchester, N. H.
