H., who has also for two years been a member of Governor McLane's staff, was born at Bath, Me.. Nov. 28, 1864, a son of Samuel and Almina M.(Norton) Anderson. Both hiS parents were natives of Maine, the father being a druggist by occupatIon. Henry W. Anderson in his youth acquired a good practical educa- tion. He learned the drug business under his father and followed it for awhile, afterwards entering into the coal and wood business, at Exeter, N. H. He established his present manufacturing business at Exeter in 1912, and is successfully carrying on both factories. Mr. Anderson is a Republican in politics and for a number of years has been quite active in public affairs, having served two different times in the legislature. He was one of the first police commissioners of the town of Exeter, also a member of the board of trustees of the New Hampshire State Hospital. He married Helen Louise Dutch, a native of Epping, N. H., and daughter of John C. and Harriet (Goodman) Dutch. He and his wife have four children: Merrill, Martha, Helen and Janet.
