TITLE: Epping 125 Cemetery (Burley Plot) LOCATION: Between 155 and North River Road. Heading North on Route 125 toward Route 155 and after North River Road is a cemetery that is NOT visable from the road. It is right where the town line is and where a white sign appears that tells of the year Epping was founded. There you can see a stone retaining wall very neat having two neat levels rising high off the highway. On the second level tucked behind the trees is a cemetery with two neat sections surrounded by fence. Enclosed in the second section is one lone tombstone the rest in the plot lie in the first section. The interesting thing about these stones are that whether the stone is new or old they all appear to be the same age. No doubt there is an aesthetic code to adhere to in this plot. It does fool the visitor to this cemetery very well, as I was surprised when I recorded recent burial dates yet the stone looked the same age as the rest.
