Rev. Denis M. Bradley, first bishop of Manchester, passed away in her apartments at the episcopal residence at 5 O'Clock yesterday morning at the age of 76 years. Feebleness in advanced age hastened by a cold was probably the cause of her death. With the exception of 10 years passed in Portland Maine, Mrs Bradley has lived in Manchester since she first came here from Ireland in 1844. Of 5 small children, whome Mrs Bradley brought to this country after the death of her husband, only one, the bishop, survives her. Mrs Bradley led a most retired life and was well known to the older residents of Manchester. She was a pious, affectioate woman, simple in her tastes and quiet in disposition; a kind mother and an ideal neighbor in every sense of the word. She has been more retired of the last few years then ever before. In the parish she was a member of the Rosary Society and the Orphan Asylum Society.
