JEREMIAH K. ALDRICH. Rev. Jeremiah Knight Aldrich died at his home, 535 Columbus avenue, Boston, on Thursday, Aug. 3rd. Mr. Aldrich was well known in Nashua, having been the last pastor of the old Olive Street church. He came to Nashua the last part of 1876 and con- tinued in the pastorate of that church until it united with the Pearl Street church in 1879. He was born in Providence, R. I., on May 20, 1826, and after completing his education con- ducted a private school in Warwick, R. I., for several years. Entering the Congregational ministry, he filled pas- torates in Riverpoint, R. I., Bridge- water and Groton, Mass., twice in Rye, N, H., Nashua, Wellfleet and Yarmouth, Mass., and last at Eastford, Conn., preaching continuously until about a year ago, excepting about two years, when he was obliged to discon- tinue on account of ill health. He was married in Providence in 1848 to Miss Sarah Hamer, who died in 1884. He was again married in 1893 to Miss Bertha E. Anderson at Amesbury, Mass., who survives him. He is also survived by seven daughters and one son, one of the daughters being Mrs. Joseph L.
