Mabel Howard 

EXETER - Mabel Howard, 86, of Alumni Drive, died October 28, 2000, at her 
home after a lengthy illness. 

She was born Aug. 17, 1914, in Tottenham, England, the daughter of Heinrich 
(Harry F.) and Daisy I. Spalthoff and resided in Exeter for most of her life. 

She attended Robinson Female Seminary, Exeter. 

Mrs. Howard was employed by Unitil. 

The widow of Donald Howard, she is survived by two grandchildren, Bernard 
Thon of Washington and Lisa VanDamm of Arizona; two great-grandchildren; one 
sister, Daisy Chase of Raymond; three nieces and one nephew. 

She was predeceased by one daughter, Donna Mae; two grandchildren; and one 
brother, Harry R. Spalthoff. 

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. 

Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping.
