Carolyn I. Cross 

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Carolyn I. Cross, 71, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at 
the Chilton House. 

She was born in Westpoint, N.Y., the daughter of the late George and Louise 
Cross, and had been a longtime resident of Worcester, Mass. 

Miss Cross recently retired from the Department of Near Eastern Languages, 
Literature and the Center for Jewish Studies at Harvard University. 

She is survived by one sister, Susan Hunter of Stratham; and several nieces 
and nephews. 

She was predeceased by one brother, Brewster Cross. 

Memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. in the Appleton 
Chapel of Harvard University, Cambridge. 

Memorial donations may be made to The Chilton House, 65 Chilton St., 
Cambridge, MA 02139. 

Arrangements are by Rogers Funeral Home, Cambridge.
