Box 39, Colebrook, NH 03576 (603) 237-5501 FORMATTED: by CParziale, 2000 ***************************************************************************** EDNA BEAUCHEMIN Edna Mae Beauchemin, 65, of Columbia, died on November 29, 2000 at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook after a long illness. Born on September 19, 1935 in Stewartstown, she was the daughter of Edward and Helen (Forrest) Beauchemin. She lived in the North Country for most of her life, attending Clarksville School and other North Country schools. Ms. Beauchemin worked numerous places including Lambertıs Store, Manchester Manufacturing and the North Stratford Plywood Mill. After completing a year of adult education training, she most recently worked as a driver for the Vershire program in Colebrook, from 1990 to 1994. Ms. Beauchemin enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening and animals. She will be remembered as a loving and unselfish person, who was always willing to give much more than she received. She is survived by two sons, Dennis Cote of Barrington and Edward Gaudette of Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Beverly) Smith of Columbia and Betty Shatney and friend Gabriel Figueroa, also of Columbia; a brother, Keith Beauchemin of Colebrook; two sisters, Marion Ring of Naples, Fla., and Mrs. Jessie (Margaret) Young of Colebrook; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ms. Beauchemin was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Charlie. Funeral services were held at the Monadnock Congregational Church in Colebrook at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 3. The family will conduct an interment at a later date. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Newman Funeral Home.
