Power EPPING - John F. Power, 74, of 140 Railroad Ave., died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, in Exeter Hospital after a period of failing health. He was born June 21, 1926, in Boston, the son of the late Walter and Josephine (Beoit) Power. He resided in Barnstable Village, Mass., for 30 years, and in Placeda, Fla., for seven years before moving to Epping. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Power was a maintenance mechanic for Cape Cod Tech in Harwich, Mass. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion in Florida and Epping; the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Florida. He enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Eleanore (Lowery) Power of Epping; two sons, John F. Power Jr. of Billerica, Mass., and Michael Power of Wells, Maine; four daughters, Mary Forrester of Falls Church, Va., Joan Power of Billerica, Christine Izo of Waltham, Mass., and Susan Williams of Raynham, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Leo Power of Brighton, Mass.; one sister, Madelyn Hessel of Natick, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Front Street, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
