Facendola DRACUT, Mass. - Virginia T. "Ginny" Facendola, 5 years old, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at her home after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 3, 1995, in Methuen, Mass., the daughter of Philip and Katherine (Pettengill) Facendola and had resided in Dracut. Prior to her illness she enjoyed dance at Demetra's School of Dance in Lowell, Mass. Ginny was a poster child for Dana Farber Cancer Institute's Pan-Mass Challenge and the Jimmy Fund Cancer Walk. In addition to her parents, she is survived by four brothers, John, Warren, Patrick and Philip Facendola, all of Dracut; her maternal grandparents, Warren and Virginia Pettengill of Lowell; her paternal grandmother, Lucia Facendola of Clinton, Mass.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be held Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Mahoney Funeral Home, 187 Nesmith St., (Route 38) Lowell. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Lowell. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. Memorial donations may be made to The Jimmy Fund, 1309 Beacon St., Brookline, MA 02446; to Immaculate Conception School, 218 East.
