Muniz STRATHAM Beatrice T. Muniz, 74, of 105 Willow Brook Ave., died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, in Exeter Hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1926, in Brockton, Mass., the daughter of the late Edmund and Mary E. (Avery) Dufresne. She was raised in Brockton and resided several years in Taunton, Mass., moving to Hampton in 1965. She had lived in Stratham for five years. She was a graduate of Brockton High School. Mrs. Muniz owned and operated Ann and Andy's Candies in Hampton during the early 1980s. She had previously been the librarian at Sacred Heart School, Hampton, and had worked in the school lunch program at Hampton Academy Junior High School and as a clerk at the Strawbery Banke General Store. She was a member of the former Lioness Club of Hampton and a former member of the Sacred Heart School PTA. She enjoyed sewing and knitting and made many Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls for area children and blankets for the children of Kosovo through the Linus Program. She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Mary Anne and Thomas House of Stratham, with whom she made her home; two sons, Thomas J. Muniz of York, Maine, and John A. Muniz of Tucson, Ariz.; six brothers, Edmund Dufresne, Louis Dufresne, George Dufresne, Richard Dufresne and John Dufresne, all of Brockton, and Gerald Dufresne of West Bridgewater, Mass.; two sisters, Louise Dufresne of Brockton and Eva May Rocha of Taunton, Mass.; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Charles and Adeline Nascimento of Taunton.
