Pond HAMPTON FALLS - Burton W. Pond, 72, of 11 Weare Road, died suddenly on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at the Exeter Hospital after being stricken ill at his home. He was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Amesbury, Mass., son of the late George W. and Natalie L. (Titcomb) Pond. He was a graduate of the Sanborn Seminary in King- ston with the Class of 1948. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the CBs in the U.S. Navy. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, he worked for Beane Construction Co. of Rye and later for the former Eames Furniture Store in Hampton for several years. He retired from the Hampton Village Hardware Store in 193 with 17 years of service. He was the husband of June N. (Rymer) Pond for 46 years. In addition to his wife, family members include three sons, Neal A. Pond and his wife, Ellen, of Hampton Falls; Barry K. Pond and his wife, Sherrie, of Hailey, Idaho; and Larry G. Pond and his wife, Lorna, of Exeter; one sister, Sandra L. Peterson of Laguna, Calif.; five grandchildren, Andie, Maverick, Tiffani, Gregory and Benjamin; and two nephews. POND - Burton W. Pond, 72, of 11 Weare Road, Hampton Falls, died Dec. 16, 2000. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Hampton Falls. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. the family requests that flowers please be omitted. If desired, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 3 Lincoln Ave., Hampton Falls, NH 03844; or to a charity of one's choice. Burton W. Pond HAMPTON - The funeral for Burton W. Pond, 72, of 11 Weare Road, was held Wednesday from the Remick and Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory. Services were conducted in the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Kenneth G. Lawrence, pastor, officiated. Barbara Flocco was organist. Mr. Pond's sons, Barry K. and Neal A. Pond, offered words of remembrance. The U.S. flag was presented to his widow, June N. (Rymer) Pond.
