She grew up in Lynn and attended local schools in that area. She moved to the Eliot and Kittery area, where she lived for 45 years, before moving to Florida. She married Alden P. Loring in 1937. He predeceased her in 1983. She enjoyed making floral arrangements out of her home and for more than 30 years was an accomplished bowler having belonged to the Gat-A-Bouts bowling league of Portsmouth, N.H.. She and her late husband loved to travel and go camping together. For a number of years, she worked at Hoyts Stationary Store in Portsmouth. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Carol Davis of Orlando, Fla.; and a sister, Adeline Bejtlich of Saugus, Mass.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Beside her late husband, she was predeceased by her beloved son, Wayne Loring, who died in 1974. She was also predeceased by six sisters, Marie Sargent, Josephine Forest Beatrice Boivin, Lillian Amee, and her twin sisters, Gertrude Amero and Genevieve Gallant; and five brothers, Freeman, Edward, Walter, Ferdinand and George Gallant. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker and a friend, who's love and generosity touched all who knew her. LORING - Cecelia (Gallant) Loring, 94, of Geneva, Fla., and formerly of the Eliot and Kittery, Maine, area died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Kittery, with the Rev. Real Nadeau celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. A graveside committal service and burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Portsmouth.
