Bean PORTSMOUTH - Dorothy C. Bean, 85, of 1155 Islington St. died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, as a result of an automobile accident. Born Nov. 8, 1915, in Derry, she was the daughter of Howard and Helen (Currier) Corson. she grew up and attended school in Concord. She was a resident of the Portsmouth and Newington area for most of her life. The widow of Vernon W. Bean, she worked as a bookkeeper for his construction business for more than 30 years. Survivors include one son, Richard Bean and his wife, Virginia, of Rochester; two daughters, Patricia Hutchinson and her husband, William, of East Hampton, Conn., and Katherine Brownell and her husband, James, of Rochester; four grandchildren, Joyce Sanderson of Portsmouth, Susan Mason of Kittery, Maine, Mark Hutchinson of East Hampton, Conn., and Cathy Westerberg of Middletown, Conn.; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas Corson Sr. of Concord and Paul Corson of Brookville, Fla. BEAN - Dorothy C. Bean, 85, of 1155 Islington St., Portsmouth, died Dec. 22, 2000. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Newington Cemetery.
