Born in Colebrook on Jan. 19, 1952, he was the son of Oscar and Aurora (Chaloux) Marquis. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from New Hampshire College. He served four years in the Air Force. Mr. Marquis worked for the Postal Service. He enjoyed motorcycles, travel, gardening and caring for his pets. He was predeceased by a daughter, Melissa Marquis. Family members include five brothers, Yves Marquis of Manchester, Guy Marquis of Clarksville, Serge Marquis of Bedford, Louis Marquis of Beecher Falls, Vt., and Andre "Bert" Marquis of Columbia; and two sisters, Simone Biron of Clarksville and Ginette Ladd of Canaan, Vt. A graveside service will be in the spring at the convenience of the family.
