Vinton YORK - Florence M. Vinton, 78, formerly of Yorkshire Commons, 155 York St., died Monday, Dec. 11, at York Harbor Health Care at Sentry Hill. She was born on May 7, 1922, in Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of Arthur and Frances (Crogent) Bowman and was a 1939 graduate of Morris High School in the Bronx. She was an office manager for Dr. Theodore Rosen in Manchester, Conn., for 15 years. She had formerly worked at Sears & Roebuck and Burton's Women's Apparel in Manchester, Conn. She had resided in Andover and Manchester, Conn., for many years, moving to York in 1991. She was a communicant of St. Christopher-by-the-Sea Church of York and was a former volunteer at the York Hospital and a member of the York Hospital Auxiliary. She had also been a volunteer at the Manchester, Conn., Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, George A. Vinton, who died in 1980. Survivors include one son, Kenneth Dahlquist, of Andover, Conn.; two daughters, June F. Buggie, of Duluth, Ga., and Deborah F. Crickmore, of York; one brother, Arthur Bowman, of Hudson, Fla.; one sister, Carol Mackie, of Long Island, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. VINTON - Florence M. Vinton, formerly of 155 York St., York, Maine, died Dec. 11, 2000, in York. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Christopher Church, York Street, York. Interment will be in the First Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lucas and Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road, York, Maine. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, N.E.
