Pearson, 76, of Mesa, Ariz., died unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Day. He was born on December 4, 1923 in Berlin, the son of the late Guy Pearson and Goldie G. Hurlbert. He was graduated from Canaan High School in 1944 and entered the Air Force. After being discharged, he was married to Elizabeth Word of Hartford, Conn. He worked for Connecticut Light and Power until 1956 when they moved west. He was employed by Arizona Light and Power for 30 years in Tempe, Ariz. When Harry and Betty retired, they moved to their vacation home in Puerto Peņasco, Mexico, where they were living at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty; two sons, Jim of Mesa and Mark and Ruth of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Debbie and Joanne of Tempe; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and three sisters, Gretchen Bryan of West Stewartstown, Colleen Holt of St. George, Utah, and Virginia Carr of Averill.
