(Gardiner) "Grammy" Charron, 76, Route 110, Groveton, died at Rochester Manor in Rochester, on Friday, Dec. 8, 2000 after a lengthy illness. Born on May 30, 1924 in Groveton, the daughter of Edward and Irma (Dupius) Gardiner, she was a lifelong resident of Groveton. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. She was a member of the Groveton Senior Citizens and was known for being very helpful toward others when they needed it. Before retiring she was a clerk at Ames Department Store. Mrs. Charron is survived by her husband of 58 years, Henry Charron of Groveton; one son, Dennis Charron of Groveton; two daughters, Denise Mahurin-Robie of Hill, and Delores Blodgett of Groveton; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice Robinson, of Groveton. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday at St. Francis Xavier Church with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Weeks Home Health, 173 Middle Street, Lancaster, NH 03584 or to St. Francis Xavier Church, 10 State Street, Groveton, NH 03582.
