Gallant YORK HARBOR, Maine - Irma "Doyle" Gallant passed away in York Harbor on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000. Born Sept. 13, 1918, in Brookline, Mass., she was the eldest daughter of the late Bernard and Catherine Doyle. Raised in Dorchester, Mass., she attended St. Peter's School. In 1941 she married Richard Faber in Long Island, N.Y., and had two children, a daughter, Judith, and a son, the late Donald Faber. She spent many years working for Boston City Hall and the state House in Massachusetts. She was very involved in local politics in the 1970s. She spent happy summers singing and playing the ukulele at Mousam Lake. Her family, who called her "Gigi," learned the joys of singing, dancing and entertaining friends from her. She loved Maine and fulfilled a lifelong wish when she moved to Acton in 1980. She enjoyed her old farmhouse and her little corner in the "center" of Acton, where the views were beautiful. She leaves her devoted daughter, Judith Maginnis of Kittery; three granddaughters, Jean Maginnis of South Portland, Julie Maginnis of Arlington, Va.; and Jill Maginnis of Kittery; as well as six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Emma, Kelly, Jacob, Caleb and Molly; and five siblings, Jane "Sis" Flynn, Robert "Buddy" Doyle, Mary Doyle, Lorraine Brady and Bernard Doyle, all of Massachusetts. GALLANT - Irma "Doyle" Gallant of York, Maine, died Dec. 7, 2000 at the Harbor Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Kittery, Maine. The Rev. Fr. Real Nadeau, will officiate the Mass of Christian burial. A graveside committal service and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Acton, Maine. Friends may call 4-7 p.m., Sunday, at the Wilson-Cooper Funeral Home, 21 Rogers Road, Kittery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salesiam Missions, 2 LeFeure Lane, P.O.
