Born in Rumford, Maine, on July 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Percy L. and Helen G. (Pratt) Davis and was a graduate of Stephens High School in Rumford. She moved to Hampton 34 years ago, coming from Bangor, Maine. She worked as a secretary for the Hampton school system for 10 years and then many years as a substitute secretary for the Hampton and Exeter school districts. She participated in both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts as a leader and adviser. Other interests were photography and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of the Old Orchard Beach Order of Eastern Star. She was the wife of Frank S. Eaton for 45 years. In addition to her husband, family members include three sons, Brian J. Eaton and his wife, Bernadette, of Kingston; Matthew W. Eaton and his wife, Michele, of Brentwood; Paul D. Eaton and his wife, Beth, of Strafford; two daughters, Rhonda Wilson and her husband, John, of Amherst; and Melinda Leblanc of Exeter; two sisters, Louise House and her husband, Forrest, of East Longmeadow, Mass.; and Dorothy Witham and her husband, Ivan, of York, Maine; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. EATON - Janet Davis Eaton, 66, of 4 Rosa Road, Hampton, died Dec. 16, 2000. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the funeral home 2-4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Private interment will be in the Exeter Cemetery. The family requests that flowers please be omitted. If desired, donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833. Janet D. Eaton HAMPTON - Largely attended services for Janet D. Eaton, 66, of 4 Rosa Road, were held Tuesday in the Remick and Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory. The Rev. Paul Chang, pastor, of the United Methodist Church, York, Maine, officiated. Jean Goss was organist. Mrs. Eaton's daughter, Melinda J. Leblanc, and daughter-in-law Bernadette Eaton offered words of remembrance.
