Schafer RICHFIELD, Utah - Jean Effie Schafer, 74, of Richfield, Utah, died on December 8, 2000, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on June 22, 1926, to Carl Adolph and Clytie Marjorie Humphry, in Burlington, Vt. She lived in Lancaster from 1960 to 1979. Jean never married, but she chose her family. She was a convert and an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities. She is survived by her "adopted" families: John (Peggy) Haynes and Mary Bohman and their children, all of Utah County; the Jay Barney family, the Scott Barney family and the John Jones family, all of Richfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 14, at noon in the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Chapel. At Jean’s request there will be no public viewing. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. **************************************************************************** * * * * Notice: Printing the files within by non-commercial individuals and libraries is encouraged, as long as all notices and submitter information is included.
