Yeaton ADDISON, Maine - Lloyd B. Yeaton, 87, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, in Downeast Community Hospital, Machias, Maine, following a period of failing health. He was born March 2, 1913, in Exeter, the son of the late George W. and Grace (McDermott) Yeaton. He moved to Dover in 1965 and to Addison in 1999. Mr. Yeaton was employed by Phillips Exeter Academy for many years and at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring after 20 years of service. Following his retirement he worked for nine years at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover, in the maintenance department doing electrical work. The widower of Muriel (Hayes) Yeaton, his wife of 62 years who died in 1994, he is survived by three sons and their wives, Leon and Joan Yeaton of Addison, with whom he made his home, Robert and Kathleen Yeaton of East Granby, Conn., and Lawrence and Rebecca Yeaton of Newmarket and Machiasport, Maine; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Vinton Yeaton; and one sister, Mildred "Millie" Noyes.
