Durham NORTH HAMPTON - Mildred H. Durham, 73, of 20 Olde Locke Road, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at the Exeter Healthcare Inc. in Exeter. Born in the borough of Queens, N.Y., on May 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Eugene M. and Estelle (Burton) Harris. She moved to Marblehead, Mass., as a child, graduating from high school there in 1944. She attended Colby Junior College in New London, where she received an associate degree in liberal arts. She lived in the North Shore area before moving to North Hampton in 1960. She worked as a medical secretary for several physicians in the Seacoast area. She also was a 25-year sales representative for Avon cosmetics. She loved the ocean, bird-watching and was an avid lover of the outdoors. She was the wife of Edward Durham for 37 years. In addition to her husband, family members include three sons, Robert L. Shields of Bedford, Dana K. Shields of Hampton and Martin I. Durham of Rindge; one daughter, Karen Shields of Concord; two grandchildren, Jacob and Katie Durham of Rindge; one brother, Martin Harris of Florida; and several nieces and one nephew. DURHAM - Mildred H. Durham, 73, of 20 Olde Locke Road, North Hampton, died Dec. 29, 2000. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. The family requests that there be no visiting hours and that flowers please be omitted.
