Ford NASHUA - Merrill G. Ford, 67, of 14 Mapleleaf Drive, Nashua, died at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare Center on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000. Born Sept. 1, 1933, in Presque Isle, Maine, he was the son of the late Elbridge and Pearl (Cyr) Ford. He had lived in Kittery Point, Maine, prior to moving to Nashua 14 years ago. He was the husband of Madelaine A. (Connor) Ford, whom he married on Feb. 4, 1956. He was a career veteran of the U.S. Air Force and during his career served in Vietnam, Great Britain, West Germany and at various duty assignments in the United States. He retired in 1975 with the rank of tech sergeant after almost 23 years. Following his retirement from the military, he worked in various occupations for almost nine years in the Seacoast area. He then moved to Nashua where he worked for the Federal Aviation Agency for 13 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed his family and his grandchildren and liked working with computers. He was educated in Presque Isle, Maine. In addition to his wife of 44 years, survivors include two daughters, Karen A. Stotler of Portsmouth and Joanne E. Ford of Nashua; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul A. and Janet Ford of York, Maine; two grandchildren, Marissa Ford and Mathew Ford, both of York, Maine; a sister, Marilyn Humphrey of Augusta, Maine; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street, Nashua, is in charge of arrangements. FORD - Merrill G. Ford of 14 Mapleleaf Drive, Nashua, died Dec. 17, 2000. He was the husband of Madelaine A. (Connor) Ford. There are no visiting hours. Funeral service and interment will be private.
