Kelley HAMPTON - Marie E. Kelley, 76, of 857 Ocean Blvd., died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at the Exeter Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born in Lawrence, Mass., on May 20, 1924, the daughter of the late James and Margaret E. (O'Brien) McCarthy. Raised in Lawrence, she attended St. Rita's grammar school and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School with the Class of 1943. She worked in the hospitality industry, owning and operating Shoals View Motel at North Beach for many years with her husband. She resided in Hampton for 40 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, a member of the Friends of St. Mary's and the Augusteen Seminary Guild, both of Lawrence. She also enjoyed her walks. She was the wife of John J. Kelley Sr. for 48 years. In addition to her husband, family members include one son, John J. Kelley Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Hampton; one daughter, Maribeth Martineau and her husband, Daniel, of Exeter; two sisters, Rita White and her husband, John, of Andover, Mass., and Marguerite T. McCarthy of Lawrence, Mass.; two grandchildren, Patrick Kelley and Corey Martineau; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Eileen Smith, who died in 1988. Marie E. Kelley HAMPTON - The funeral for Marie E. Kelley, 76, of 857 Ocean Blvd. was held Wednesday from the Remick and Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory. A Mass of Christian burial was concelebrated at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church. The Rev. George E. Ham, pastor, and the Rev. James Smith, nephew of Mrs. Kelley, were the concelebrants. Nelson K. Ward was organist and Patricia Mackensen was soloist. Altar servers were Robert Griesemer, Lawrence Murphy and Robert Rancourt. Judy Kelley, daughter-in-law, offered a reading. Burial followed in the High Street Cemetery, with the Rite of Committal conducted by Father Ham and Father Smith. Pallbearers were John J. Kelley Jr., Daniel F.
