Landers CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - Marion S. Landers, 75, died on Dec. 20, 2000 at her home after a long illness. She was born in East Orange, Vt., the daughter of George and Bertha (Parrish) Sumner, and had resided in Clifton Park for the past 15 years and had wintered in Lady Lake, Fla. Mrs. Landers graduated from the New England School of Theology and the Exeter School of Nursing. She had been employed as a nurse in Haverhill, Mass., Exeter, Lancaster and North Conway. She worked for the Shenendehowa Senior Citizens in Clifton Park in the early 1990s. She was a member of the Grange in New Hampshire, and the Socialites and, as a pastor’s wife, was active in the Methodist churches where they served. For the past 15 years, she had been active in Jonesville United Methodist Church. The family includes two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Judith) Williams of Conway, and Mrs. Stanley (Natalie) Maxwell of Clifton Park; three grandchildren; a brother, George Sumner Jr. of Enosburg Falls, Vt.; and a longtime friend, George Tollhurst. She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Samuel E. Landers, in 1984. Funeral services were held at the Jonesville, N.Y. United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Conway Village Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care Services of Northern Carroll County, P.O.
