Pelletier, 61, died on December 25, 2000 at his Orrington, Maine home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 20, 1939 in Rochester, N.Y., the son of George and Margaret (Buckley) Pelletier. Michael graduated from St. Francis College with a B.A. in English and Rhode Island College with a Master's in Counselor Education. He served in the Marine Corp 101st Airborne during the Korea conflict. He had been a guidance counselor for over 30 years in various school systems, including Colebrook, N.H. He also worked as Personnel Director for Space Metal Buildings in East Taunton, Mass., for E.C. Jordan Company in Portland, for Casco Bank in Portland, and Fleet Bank in Portland. He was extremely proud of his community activities, especially the Multi-Disciplinary Team and as Peer Outreach Advisor. Michael was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and was a great husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Paula (Hachey) Pelletier and two sons, Joel Michael and Ryan George Pelletier, all of Orrington. Calling hours were held on Thursday at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services were held on Friday. Interment was in Marston Cemetery in Orrington.
