Phyllis I. McGown 

EXETER - Phyllis Irene (Daggett) McGown, 73, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, in
Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a period of failing health. 

She was born March 26, 1927, in Rossford, Ohio, the daughter of the late 
Peter and Florence (Thompson) Auler. She had resided in Stratham for 15 years
before moving to Exeter in 1983. 

She is survived by two daughters, Virginia I. Ross and Pamela S. Matson, both
of Kingsport, Tenn.; four sons, Dale A. Daggett of Somersworth, Fred D. 
Daggett of Lee, Peter G. Daggett of Barrington and Jeremy S. Daggett of 
Northwood; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and 
nephews. 

She was predeceased by her first husband, Fred W. Daggett, who died in 1975,
and her second husband, Edward McGown, who died in 1976. Funeral services 
were held Thursday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Burial was in Exeter
Cemetery, Exeter.
