Harrigan, Publisher (Jan 03, 2001-issue) "All the news that fits" FORMATTED: by CParziale, Jan 2001 ***************************************************************************** Reginald Willey BARNET, Vt. - Reginald Willey, 88, of Maple Lane Nursing Home, Barnet, formerly of DeBary, Fla. and Grove Street, Littleton, died on Dec. 28, 2000, after a brief illness. He was born in North Troy, Vt., the son of Rupert and Georgia (Farnham) Willey. He had been a resident of Littleton from 1945 until 1974, then relocated in Florida following the death of his wife, Effie. While in Littleton he worked at the former Littleton Sand and Gravel Company for several years, was a full-time firefighter in the Littleton Fire Department for a couple of years, was a building contractor, operated the Main Street Gulf Station for several years, and then spent his remaining years as a skilled woodworker. He and his wife were founders of the Littleton Historical Society. He is survived by a son, Ralph Willey, of Littleton; a grandson; and three brothers, Wilbur Willey of Littleton, Mervyn Willey of North Stratford, and Gene Willey of Shoreham, Vt. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Ross Funeral Home, Littleton Chapel, today (Wednesday), from 2-3 p.m. A service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the spring in the Glenwood Cemetery.
