Foss BARRINGTON - Sara J. Foss, 88, of 207 Tibbetts Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000 at her home after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 7, 1912 in Epping, the daughter of the late Charles and Bernice (Edson) Beers. Mrs. Foss graduated from Epping High School and lived most of her life in Epping until she moved to Barrington in 1978. She was employed at the National Shoe and Leather until her retirement. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Maylon Foss, who died Dec. 15, 2000. Mrs. Foss is survived by one son, Larry Foss of Epping; one daughter, Cheryl Dyre of Manchester; two sisters, Leona Kureczka of Lock Port, N.Y. and Thelma Swallow of Barrington; one brother, L. Peter Beers of Lock Port, N.Y.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 8 Pleasant St., Epping. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Wayne Vangundy will officiate. Burial will follow at the Prospect Cemetery in Epping.
