Pierce SALEM - Scott M. Pierce, 36, of Essex Street, the husband of Cheryl (Beaulieu) Pierce, died suddenly Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at his home. A lifelong resident of Salem, he was the son of Richard Pierce Sr., of Salem and Joan (Kobialka) Pierce of Portsmouth. He attended Salem public schools and Bishop Fenwick High School, Peabody, Mass. He was employed as a machinist for the Atwood-Morrill Company of Salem for almost 20 years. He was a member of the United Electrical Radio and Machine Workers of America Local 279. Surviving him in addition to his wife and parents are two daughters, Jessica Pierce, 11, and Melissa Pierce, 9, both of Salem; a brother, Richard Pierce Jr., of Groveland, Mass.; two sisters, Diane Waitte of Peabody, Mass., Wendy Rudy of San Diego, Calif.; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Friedenthal of Lynn, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. PIERCE - Scott M Pierce, 36, of Essex Street, Salem, husband of Cheryl (Beaulieu) Pierce, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000. His funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday from the David H. Gonet Funeral Home, 22 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Salem/Peabody line. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be frin 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
