Thomas Sheppard 

PORTSMOUTH - Funeral services for Thomas Sheppard, 82, of 54 Ceres St., were
held Saturday at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel in 
Portsmouth. The Rev. Vivan Martindale, pastor of the Middle Street Baptist 
Church, officiated. Words of remembrance were given by granddaughter Kristen
Rozelle, grandson-in-law Michael LaLime and longtime friend Wilbur Perkins. 

Burial was in Harmony Grove Cemetery in Portsmouth, with committal services 
by the Rev. Martindale. 

The flag that draped the casket was folded and presented to Mr. Sheppard's 
wife, Mrs. Elsie "Dickie" (Pike) Sheppard. 

Bearers were Tommy Aylward, Michael LaLime, James O'Callaghan, Ray Hughes and
Tim Rozelle.
